We are long overdue for the "big one" in California. According to the latest Uniform California Earthquake Rupture Forecast (UCERF3) report, in the next 30 years, there is a:
- 99% chance that one or more M6.7+ earthquake(s) will strike somewhere in California.
- 75% chance that a M7.0+ earthquake will strike Southern CA.
- 76% chance that a M7.0+ earthquake will strike Northern CA
